Welcome to Oak Tree National’s first official blog! With such an active group of Members and guests alike, we are constantly searching for new ways to reach out and keep them up to date with the latest Oak Tree National news. With that being said, we are thrilled to announce our latest and most exciting piece of news.
Drum roll please…… Oak Tree National will be hosting the 2014 Senior US Open! Mr. David Fay, the Executive Director for the USGA, was kind enough to make the announcement together with Ed Evans on Thursday August 27th, 2009 during a press conference held here at Oak Tree National. (Below is Mr. David Fay making the official announcement)

We are excited to host another championship tournament, not only because of the national recognition that our club will receive, also because of the great benefits to Edmond and Oklahoma City. During the press conference Thursday, Edmond Chamber of Commerce President, Ken Moore stated that the economic benefits alone from the 2006 Senior PGA tournament held at Oak Tree brought in an estimated $33 Million to surrounding businesses. One can only imagine how even more beneficial a tournament will be to Edmond in 2014!
This is terrific news and everyone here, staff and touring professionals included, are thrilled with the announcement.
